Teijo National Park is a beautiful nature resort outside the City of Salo, located in Southwestern Finland about 120 kilometres from Helsinki. Teijo is the number one visiting place for both nature enthusiasts, but the rich history of the area attracts history buffs as well as nature lovers.
Teijo National Park and the nearby ancient iron-foundries lie on the Teijonselkä seashore. In the national park you may try out a multitude of nature activities, such as hiking trips, guided forests tours, of fishing trips. There are also a variety of rental equipment available, such as SUP boards, Packraft inflatable canoes and kayaks.
There are also rental cabins available in Teijo, and a lakeshore sauna with private and public sauna sessions is heated every day. Teijo Caravan Park serves all travellers with trailers and motorhomes throughout the Summer season.
Those interested in cultural history are well served in Teijo, as there are three 17th century-formed iron-foundries, nowadays turned into vivid summer resorts, nearby the national park. Visit small shops and boutiques, enjoy the local restaurants and cafés and wonder the old architecture in the three villages: Teijo Village, Mathildedal and Kirjakkala.
