1. Teijo National Park

5. Isojärvi National Park

Isojärvi National Park is a real wilderness, located about 150 kilometres north from Helsinki. The national park is defined by its large uphills, steep ravines and rugged rocks. The view from Vahtervuori hill, the highest point in the national park with an elevation of 218 metres, is breath-taking. In the center of the national park lies lake Isojärvi, a longish-shaped lake with a lenght of over 20 kilometres. 

Needless to say, Isojärvi National Park is a mountain bikers paradise. Biking is only allowed on marked trails and roads, but the opportunities are still plentiful. From cozy pathways to steep and rocky uphills and downhills, the biking trails in Isojärvi have it all.
